ASM Global, through its subsidiary SMG, operates the accesso ShoWare Center located in Kent, Washington. The accesso ShoWare Center is a premier event venue that hosts a wide variety of concerts, sporting events, trade shows, and community gatherings. This position offers an hourly, non-exempt employment opportunity with a pay rate of $16.91 per hour.
The Dishwasher role at the accesso ShoWare Center is integral to maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen and catering services. Reporting directly to the Sous Chef and Executive Chef, this position demands a high level of responsibility and attention to detail. The Dishwasher ensures all kitchenware is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, supporting the smooth operation of kitchen activities for events, concession stands, and catering services. This role requires an individual who is committed to hygiene standards, can manage industrial kitchen equipment, and contributes to the overall maintenance of kitchen cleanliness, including floor care and equipment sanitation.
In addition to dishwashing duties, the Dishwasher also assists chefs in event preparation, plays a critical role in waste management by sorting recycling and trash correctly, and performs other tasks as assigned by kitchen leadership. The position requires the ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods, flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, and adherence to food safety protocols as evidenced by holding a valid food handler's permit. Job Duties
- Pre-rinse all dishes prior to placing in industrial dishwasher
- Use industrial dishwasher to wash all dishes from the kitchen, concession stands and catering events
- Clean all kitchen equipment on a regular basis and as requested by Executive Chef or other team members
- Clean kitchen floors on a regular basis
- Assist chefs with preparation for events
- Place all recycling and trash in appropriate locations
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned
