Job Requirements

  • Possess a High School diploma or GED with (1) year of related experience
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a food & beverage environment
  • Ability to understand and follow direction
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to complete required pre-employment food service training, if applicable
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Positive attitude and neat appearance
  • English preferred as primary language, but not required
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to pass a background check and meet corporate minimum requirements
  • Teamwork oriented cooperative attitude is a must
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Must be able easily adjust to changing priorities
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours that may vary due to functions and may include day, evening, weekend and holiday shifts
  • Must be compliant with health codes

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to pass a background check and meet corporate minimum requirements
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Exhibit a professional attitude and appearance
  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form
  • Work well independently exercising judgment and initiative, as well as in a team environment with a diverse group of people
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons and others encountered in the course of employment
  • Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results
  • Must be able to work unsupervised
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods
  • Be able to work in fast paced kitchen environment
  • Be able to work in hot, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods
  • Must adhere to local Food Codes
  • Non-slip shoes required

Job Duties

  • Must have positive attitude
  • Reports to work in proper uniform according to the scheduled time
  • Follows instructions for each event as given by the Executive Chef and Sous Chef
  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand
  • Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition
  • Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas
  • Prepare and package individual place settings
  • Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
  • Sweep and scrub floors
  • Clean and prepare various foods for cooking or serving
  • Load or unload trucks that deliver or pick up food and supplies
  • Receive and store supplies
  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks
  • Clean garbage cans with water or steam
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary
