The dishwashing position at Whole Foods Market is an essential part of the kitchen and food service team, responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the kitchen environment. This role involves washing, rinsing, and sanitizing dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small wares, which are all critical to ensuring food safety and operational efficiency. Additionally, this position includes maintaining the general cleanliness of floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves in the kitchen area. The dishwashing role supports overall kitchen operations by assisting with kitchen deliveries, including the proper storage, organization, and rotation of products.

The wage range for this position is $17.00-$25.40 per hour, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers a comprehensive benefits package known as "Whole Benefits," which may include health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and eligibility for store discounts. Benefits eligibility is determined based on the terms of the Whole Benefits plan at the date of hire. New employees who complete the first 90 days of employment may be eligible for an increase in their base rate after their 90-day anniversary. Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day
- Hand use with single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- Ability to perform bending, twisting, squatting and reaching motions
- Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- Ability to work in temperatures ranging from below 32 degrees to above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to work in wet and dry conditions
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks and other heavy machinery
- May require use of ladders

Job Duties
- Washes, rinses, and sanitizes dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small wares
- Maintains cleanliness of floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves in the kitchen area
- Assists with kitchen deliveries including proper storage, organization, and rotation of products
- Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
- Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques
- Maximizes sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
- Follows and complies with established procedures including health and sanitation and safe work practices
