Specializing in small ship cruises, this company offers travelers a distinctive way to discover the nation’s diverse landscapes and rich history. With a commitment to showcasing the finest American ships, American Cruise Lines prioritizes safety, exceptional service, and memorable itineraries spanning over 35 states. The company culture is deeply rooted in core values of optimism, commitment, patriotism, and merit, which guide every aspect of their operations and service delivery. As a leading name in the cruise industry, American Cruise Lines ensures not only an unforgettable journey for their guests but also an enriching work environment for their crew members.

The role of a Dishwasher aboard American Cruise Lines for the 2026 season is a crucial part of the shipboard galley team. This temporary, full-time position spans up to 28 weeks and offers a unique opportunity to gain invaluable hospitality experience while traveling across the United States. The dishwasher position is foundational within the culinary team as it ensures that all dining utensils, glassware, and dishware are meticulously cleaned and sanitized to uphold the highest health and safety standards, directly contributing to an outstanding dining experience for guests. Working onboard involves more than routine cleaning duties; dishwashers are also instrumental in handling food deliveries, ensuring the operational efficiency of commercial dishwashing equipment, and assisting during special events such as afternoon teas and evening entertainment.

American Cruise Lines covers all major living expenses while aboard, including travel, room and board, uniforms, and training, allowing employees to save much of their earnings. The position demands physical stamina to handle up to 12-hour workdays, ability to lift heavy boxes, and the capability to adapt to the dynamic environment of a ship in motion. Beyond the functional responsibilities, dishwashers have opportunities to interact with guests and fellow crew members, fostering a positive, team-oriented atmosphere. This role is ideal for individuals seeking to build a career in hospitality within a vibrant and supportive company dedicated to excellence and American pride.
