Job Requirements

Temporary employment for up to 28 weeks
Full-time, nonexempt position
Ability to work seven days per week while onboard
Ability to live and work on board a vessel for extended periods
Ability to stand for entire shifts
Ability to frequently lift up to 20 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to frequently bend, squat, reach, and use stairs
Ability to assist in emergency situations by climbing ladders and passing through hatches

Job Qualifications

At least eighteen (18) years of age
American citizen or Green Card holder
Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
Willingness to undergo pre-employment drug testing including marijuana and other controlled substances
Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to work on a ship experiencing constant motion
Adherence to grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings

Job Duties

Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the galley including cutlery, glassware, dishes, and surrounding areas
Receive and carry food deliveries which require lifting boxes that weigh up to 50 lbs
Ensure that the commercial dishwasher is operating properly and efficiently, reporting any maintenance issues to management
Create genuine rapport with guests and cater to all galley requests efficiently
Perform other functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation, assisting during special events including afternoon teas and evening entertainment
Maintain compliance with shipboard safety and emergency procedures
