The role of Dishwasher at Over Easy is central to the smooth operation of the kitchen and overall dining experience. Known affectionately as the "Sparkle Master," the dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and order of all kitchenware, including dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and utensils. This position ensures that the kitchen operates efficiently by managing the dishwashing process with speed and attention to detail, using commercial dishwashers and three-compartment sinks. The dishwasher also aids in stock replenishment, keeps kitchen and prep areas tidy, handles waste disposal, and supports the kitchen team by transferring supplies as needed. This physically active role requires individuals who are energetic, reliable, and eager to work collaboratively with fellow team members. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
  • Able to stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Must maintain a valid Food Handlers' certification
  • Reliable, efficient, and detail-oriented
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a restaurant environment preferred but not required
  • Must maintain a valid Food Handlers' certification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
  • Able to stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Reliable, efficient, and detail-oriented
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of dishwashing area
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Must be at least 16 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.

Job Duties

  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans, and miscellaneous smallware with commercial dishwasher or three compartment sinks
  • Place clean dishes or cooking equipment in designated storage areas
  • Maintain kitchen work and prep areas, equipment or utensils in clean and orderly condition
  • Aid in stocking supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, refrigerators, freezers, etc.
  • Sweep and scrub floors in the kitchen and dish area
  • Clean garbage, compost, and recycling bins
  • Transfer supplies between storage and workstations by hand or by using rolling carts
