Job Requirements

  • 1+ year back-of-house experience in a full-service restaurant preferred
  • bilingual English/Spanish a plus
  • team player
  • must be available to work a variety of opens, swings and closes
  • ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs
  • vision abilities to include distance, close, color, depth, and peripheral
  • also the ability to adjust focus
  • regular use of hands to finger handles or feels objects, tools, or controls
  • reach with hands and arms
  • able to work in hot and cold environments

Job Qualifications

  • 1+ year back-of-house experience in a full-service restaurant preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Ability to understand and follow food safety protocols
  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to work varying shifts including opens, swings, and closes
  • Capable of working in hot and cold environments
  • Ability to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Vision abilities including distance, close, color, depth, and peripheral
  • Willingness to learn dish machine operations and chemical handling procedures

Job Duties

  • Maintaining organization and flow while washing dishes and utensils
  • Practicing food safety and sanitation
  • Restocking kitchen and cook line as needed throughout the shift
  • General cleaning of the restaurant
  • Managing the pace and organization of dish execution
  • Understanding and operating the dish machine and its chemical components
  • Changing out water and chemicals as needed
  • Keeping floors clean and dry
  • Maintaining cleanliness of plates and small wares
  • Inspecting food receiving, preparation, production, and storage areas to ensure health and safety compliance
  • Reporting unsafe practices or conditions to management
