Job Requirements

  • 1+ year BOH experience in full-service restaurant preferred
  • bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
  • ability to lift, carry or move up to 30 lbs
  • able to work in hot and cold environments
  • ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours per shift
  • frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting and stooping
  • manual dexterity to handle glassware, utensils and technology systems
  • ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • visual ability to include distance, close, color, depth and peripheral
  • ability to adjust focus as needed
  • ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Duties

  • Ensures smooth and steady kitchen operations by keeping dishwashing areas organized
  • manages tasks efficiently to maintain kitchen workflow
  • follows all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • restocks kitchen and cooking line as needed throughout the shift
  • performs routine cleaning of the kitchen and assists with general cleaning tasks
  • clear understanding of dish machine operations, including its chemical components, and follows proper procedures for changing water and chemicals as needed
  • keeps the floors clean and dry
  • ensures plates and smallwares are properly washed, sanitized, and stored
  • maintains and inspects food receiving, preparation, production, and storage areas to ensure that health and safety regulations are always adhered to
  • corrects unsafe practices or conditions and notifies management
  • commitment to food safety, cleanliness, job safety and sanitation standards
  • demonstrates teamwork by supporting all areas of the restaurant as business needs arise
