The role of Dishwasher at Out West Restaurant Group is an integral position responsible for supporting smooth kitchen operations while maintaining cleanliness and adherence to food safety standards. This role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $19.00 to $19.25, though it is not eligible for tips. Dishwashers ensure all dishwashing areas are organized and manage their tasks efficiently to help maintain proper kitchen workflow. They are expected to follow strict food safety and sanitation guidelines and assist with the restocking of kitchen supplies and cooking lines throughout their shifts. In addition, they routinely clean kitchens and perform general cleaning duties as needed. The position requires a clear understanding of dish machine operations, including handling chemicals correctly and changing water and chemicals when required. Dishwashers are responsible for cleaning and sanitizing plates and smallware, keeping kitchen floors clean and dry, and inspecting food preparation and storage areas to uphold health and safety regulations. They must promptly address any unsafe practices or conditions and communicate concerns to management. This role demands a strong commitment to hygiene and food safety, excellent teamwork skills, and the ability to support all areas of the restaurant as business needs arise. The role involves physical activity, including lifting up to 30 pounds, standing and walking for extended periods, and working in various temperature environments. - performs routine cleaning of the kitchen and assists with general cleaning tasks
- clear understanding of dish machine operations, including its chemical components, and follows proper procedures for changing water and chemicals as needed
- keeps the floors clean and dry
- ensures plates and smallwares are properly washed, sanitized, and stored
- maintains and inspects food receiving, preparation, production, and storage areas to ensure that health and safety regulations are always adhered to
- corrects unsafe practices or conditions and notifies management
- commitment to food safety, cleanliness, job safety and sanitation standards
- demonstrates teamwork by supporting all areas of the restaurant as business needs arise
