Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- possess excellent customer service skills and etiquette
- hold a current Food Handler's Card where applicable
- able to communicate effectively with team members
- learn and correctly use building chemicals
- able to work around varying kitchen temperatures
- ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- basic knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures
- previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment beneficial but not required
- ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment
- strong communication skills
- ability to follow instructions and learn quickly
Job Duties
- Operate an industrial dishwasher
- wash dishes, sweep/mop floors, clean and maintain equipment
- sanitize utensils and maintain all restaurant areas
- maintain kitchen work areas and equipment in clean, orderly conditions
- clean food preparation areas, facilities or equipment
- execute proper sanitation practices and safety procedures
- place clean dishes, utensils or cooking equipment in storage areas
- empty and clean all trash receptacles
- assist prep cook and other kitchen staff during peak times including basic prep
- load or unload food and supply trucks
- perform opening, closing and side work
- clean up spills or broken glassware immediately
