The role of Dishwasher, or Kitchen Team Member, at HomeGrown is an essential position that directly impacts the smooth operation of the restaurant. Job Requirements
- Ability to transport cases up to 50 pounds as many as 20 times per day
- Physical stamina and ability to bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods
- Adequate vision to discern cleanliness and operate equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, high volume kitchen environment
- Ability to prioritize safety and sanitation protocols at all times
Job Qualifications
- A positive attitude and desire to learn and grow
- Able to place plates, utensils, pans and cases on high and low shelves
- Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required
- Ability to follow recipes exactly as written
- Ability to work fast, safe, efficient, and accurately for periods of up to 10 hours per day
- Extreme attention to detail
- Able to work efficiently and communicate effectively in a high stress, fast paced environment
- Willingness to help with maintenance responsibilities, prep cook responsibilities, and assist other stations on the line as needed
- Capable of using knives, slicing equipment and other food preparation equipment
- Mobility required during the entire shift
- Ability to respond in emergency situations to avoid imminent dangers to self and others
Job Duties
- Scrap, scrub, spray, wash, sanitize all pots, pans, dishes glasses, utensils, etc. to ensure the restaurant operates smoothly at all times
- Complete all assigned prep work, following recipes exactly as written
- Set up workstation
- Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times
- Clean and sanitize the work area before, during and after shift
- Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects
- Aid with putting away deliveries
