This role is based at the Grand Rapids Complex, which includes Van Andel Arena, Acrisure Amphitheater, and Amway Stadium, all located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The position involves essential dishwasher and kitchen support duties that are vital to maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of kitchen and food service areas during live events. The dishwasher will be responsible for washing dishes, glassware, pots, pans, flatware, and kitchen items using dish machines or by hand, ensuring all are sanitized according to health standards. Additional responsibilities include placing clean items in storage, cleaning work areas including floors, walls, and cooking areas, and managing trash disposal and sanitation.
The role requires physical stamina to stand and walk for the entire shift, lift and carry supplies up to 40 pounds, reach, bend, squat, and occasionally push and pull equipment. Environmental working conditions involve contact with chemical cleaning agents and exposure to hazards such as cuts, burns, slips, and trips. The dishwasher will also be expected to follow specific opening and closing procedures as assigned by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef, maintain cleanliness and orderliness in kitchen ware storage areas, and uphold the company’s Universal Service Standards.

Job Requirements

Job Duties
- Washes dishes, glassware, pots, pans, flatware and kitchen items using dish machines or by hand
- Places clean dishes, utensils and cooking equipment in storage areas
- Cleans work area including equipment, floors, walls and cooking area
- Ensures that sanitizer levels on dish machine and pot sinks meet health standards
- Keeps kitchen ware storage areas clean and orderly
- Removes trash from dish room and transports to dumpster, cleans and sanitizes garbage cans
- Performs other duties as assigned, including following Executive Chef/Sous Chef opening and closing assignments
- Maintains neatness and cleanliness of work area and equipment
