Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Washing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand
  • Placing clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas
  • Maintaining kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition
  • Scraping and rinsing food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine
  • Sorting and removing trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
  • Sweeping or scrubbing floors
  • Stocking supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars
  • Cleaning garbage cans with water or steam
  • Transferring supplies or equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks
