As a Dishwasher/Utility team member at Red Lobster, you play a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation and cleanliness of the restaurant. Your responsibilities go beyond just washing dishes; you help ensure every area of the restaurant meets hygiene and safety standards. You will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all dishware, flatware, glassware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils with care. Proper use and operation of dishwashing equipment along with other kitchen tools will be key parts of your daily tasks.

Moreover, you will support the kitchen team by assisting with prep work and helping to prepare signature items such as the famous Cheddar Bay biscuits. Garbage disposal and trash handling are part of your responsibilities to keep the kitchen and dining areas neat and orderly. The role requires a strong team spirit, attention to detail, and a focus on guest satisfaction while following all necessary cleanliness and safety protocols.

Physical demands are a natural part of this role, and candidates must be able to meet these demands, including bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds safely. Standing and moving continuously during 8 to 12-hour shifts are typical, and a good level of physical fitness is important. Previous culinary experience is preferred but not mandatory, as the company values willingness to learn and grow within the position.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Cleaning and maintaining all areas of the restaurant
  • cleaning and sanitizing all dishware, flatware, glassware, pots, pans and cooking utensils
  • safely and correctly operating the dishwasher and other equipment
  • emptying all trash in the kitchen and other areas
  • supporting the cooks with prep work and preparation of the signature Cheddar Bay biscuits
