Job Duties

  • Show up ready for work at the time scheduled
  • Sort and rinse dirty dishes place them in racks to send through dish machine once both racks are fully loaded
  • Empty silver bucket in rack making sure you remove all trash including straws, papers, empty sugar packs etc. and run through machine
  • Sort and stack clean dishes
  • Carry clean dishes to cook’s line and other storage areas
  • Fill three compartments sink following health department guidelines, changing soap water frequently
  • Manually scrub and wash pots, pans and trays following procedure of washing, rinsing and sanitizing
  • Deposit all trash from the restaurant in the dumpster located in the parking area
  • Break down cardboard boxes and deposit in outside container
  • Thoroughly clean workstations at the end of the shift leaving no dirty dishes
  • Sweep, scrub and mop floors
  • When closing, perform assigned daily and weekly duties like washing floor mats and trash cans
  • Responsible for making proper use of dishwashing machine to avoid any malfunction
  • Must notify manager on duty anytime dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures
  • General restaurant and restrooms cleaning as directed
  • Help receive and put away product from suppliers to coolers and storage areas rotating it following FIFO policy
  • Wipe out any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry
  • Perform other cleaning duties as assigned
