We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our team. This role is essential to the smooth operation of our kitchen and dining areas. The Kitchen Helper will be responsible for washing dishes, pots, and pans, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation standards are consistently met. In addition to these tasks, the role involves baking cookies, cakes, and breads, as well as preparing paninis and other food items under the direction of the store manager. This position requires attention to detail and a commitment to following strict cleaning and food preparation procedures for health and safety compliance.

Beyond the core responsibilities of food preparation and kitchen maintenance, the Kitchen Helper will engage in guest interaction with a smile, promoting a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. This role also includes assisting with receiving, checking in, and properly storing deliveries and ingredients, which is vital for maintaining inventory accuracy and kitchen organization. Secondary functions of the role extend to serving as an attendant by bussing tables, performing light maintenance duties, and custodial tasks as needed to support overall store operations.

This position demands a candidate who can effectively manage multiple tasks, work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a high standard of guest service and communication skills. The successful candidate will have a state food handler card or ServSafe certification, evidence of relevant work experience preferably in a guest service setting such as a restaurant or retail environment, and the ability to understand and communicate in English proficiently.
