They are currently seeking a reliable and diligent Dishwasher to join their team.\n\nThe Dishwasher role is an essential part of the restaurant’s daily operations, focusing on maintaining cleanliness and ensuring that all dishware and kitchen equipment are thoroughly sanitized and ready for use. This position directly reports to the General Manager, Managing Partner, Sous Chef, or Executive Chef, reflecting the integral role the dishwasher plays in supporting both kitchen and front-of-house staff. The job requires a hardworking individual who is committed to maintaining the dish room and kitchen areas in an organized, sanitary, and efficient manner.\n\nAs a Dishwasher, your responsibilities include operating the dishwashing machine, cleaning pots, pans, and all kitchen utensils, and ensuring the availability of clean dishware for service times. You will be expected to monitor the dishwashing process carefully, maintain the cleanliness of the dish area and equipment, and handle all tableware with care to avoid breakage or loss. Beyond dishwashing, the role includes general cleaning duties and supporting the team by filling in other tasks as needed to keep restaurant operations running smoothly. This is a physically demanding role requiring the ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items up to 60 pounds safely, and work effectively in a hot, wet, and sometimes noisy environment.\n\nThe successful candidate must exhibit exceptional personal hygiene and grooming habits and have good communication skills to work well with the management team and other staff members. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must be reliable and punctual
  • Capable of performing physical labor
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • Be able to work in a hot, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods of time
  • Be physically able to lift, reach, bend and stoop
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
  • Be able to safely lift bags, cases, and stacks weighing up to 60 pounds up to 30 times per shift
  • Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits
  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively
  • Previous experience in a dishwashing or kitchen support role is preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Load, run and unload dish machine
  • Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately
  • Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure the sanitary wash cycle
  • Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware
  • Keep the dish room clean and organized
  • Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for the dining room and kitchen
  • Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designed times
  • Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss
  • Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies
  • Clean food preparation and production areas as required
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
  • Perform general cleaning duties
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement
  • Carry out other restaurant tasks as required by management or leadership
