The role of a Patient Feeding Team Member at Cincinnati Children's is an essential position within the Patient Feeding department that demands dedication, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to service excellence. This full-time, day shift position involves a variety of duties such as setting up, working, and cleaning patient tray lines, dish machines, pots and pans, and cafeteria areas under direct supervision. The team member contributes directly to maintaining a clean and safe environment that supports the well-being of patients, visitors, and staff alike. Patient Feeding Team Members are responsible for adhering to proper food handling protocols, including maintaining food temperatures and sanitation standards in compliance with board of health and department requirements. They assist with retrieving patient trays, cleaning dishware, emptying trash, and maintaining safety standards within the department. The position requires excellent interpersonal skills, as it involves regular interaction with coworkers, patients, and guests, embodying Cincinnati Children’s CARES standards to provide courteous and prompt customer service. Job Duties

  • set up patient tray line, dish machine, pots and pans, and cafeteria under supervision
  • deliver patient trays and maintain clean environment
  • follow safe and sanitary habits according to standards

  • retrieve dirty trays, clean dishes, empty trash, and transport trash carts to dumpster
  • complete HACCP, dish machine, and sanitizer logs
  • demonstrate effective customer service following CARES standards
