The role available is a full-time evening position that provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the well-being of seniors by maintaining the kitchen and dining areas, supporting meal service, and ensuring a safe and clean environment. The job involves operating dishwashing machines, soaking and cleaning cookware, serving food and beverages when necessary, and upholding food safety standards.   • follow state food-handling and kitchen regulations
  • operation of basic kitchen appliances or willingness to learn
  • willingness to learn and help others
  • enjoyment in working with older adults
  • some experience in food cleanup or preparation is preferred

Job Duties

  • Stack, soak, and run the dish machine
  • soak and clean pots and pans, putting away in storage after dry
  • clean equipment, appliances, storage area, and sinks according to schedule
  • participate in serving food and beverages, as needed
  • prepare beverages before meals
  • provide customer service to residents to allow a high level of resident satisfaction
  • bus tables during and after meals and clear tables when residents are finished eating
  • vacuum carpet in the dining room after each meal
  • maintain a clean, orderly and safe kitchen environment
  • store food properly for infection control
  • other duties as assigned
