We are currently seeking a full-time Dishwasher to join our team at The Pine School located at 12350 Southeast Federal Highway, Hobe Sound, FL 33455. This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $16.00 to $17.00 per hour, along with a consistent Monday to Friday schedule from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm—eliminating the need for nights or weekend shifts. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment that supports our commitment to health, safety, and excellent foodservice.
As a dishwasher with Flik Independent School Dining, you will ensure that dishes, pots, pans, trays, and kitchen utensils are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to established procedures. Your responsibilities will help maintain a safe and orderly kitchen by adhering to safety protocols, managing chemical levels, and ensuring all equipment is properly maintained. Job Requirements
- Previous kitchen experience required
- Ability to work full time Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
- Capability to perform physical tasks including standing, lifting, and moving supplies
- Must be able to maintain compliance with safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Willingness to comply with the company’s drug-free workplace policy
Job Qualifications
- Previous kitchen experience required
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Knowledge of safety procedures within kitchen environment
- Capability to operate and maintain dishwashing equipment
- Good physical stamina for standing and manual tasks
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment
- Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation
- Washes pots, pans and trays based on assigned procedures
- Polishes silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth depending on assigned equipment and procedures
- Ensures compliance with outlined safety procedures
- Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards
- Keeps dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards
- Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces
- Removes trash and places it in designated containers
- Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
- Helps load and unload supplies and product
- Performs other duties as assigned
