Job Requirements
- Meet personal schedule requirements punctually
- Work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- Stand or walk for entire shift
- Perform duties in limited physical space with variable ventilation
- Handle extremes of water and air temperature
- Safely transport items weighing up to 50 lbs
- Move safely on slick and uneven surfaces
- Transport dishes and trays including stairs when applicable
- Maintain safety in all restaurant areas
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous dishwashing or kitchen sanitation experience beneficial
- Ability to read and understand thermometer readings
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow health and safety regulations
- Good physical stamina
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Wash, sanitize and dry dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
- Ensure cleanliness of all items washed
- Follow proper washing sequence according to procedures
- Maintain pace to prevent backlogs
- Keep work area clean and orderly
- Return all items to appropriate locations
- Operate and maintain dishwashing machinery
- Identify and use cleaning supplies correctly
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness of kitchen areas
- Perform duties independently when required
