Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
prior experience in dishwashing or kitchen cleaning preferred
ability to stand for long periods
ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly
ability to climb ladders and stairs
stamina to work in wet floor and temperature extreme conditions
good communication skills in English
valid Food Handlers Permit or ability to obtain one

Job Duties

Upholds company mission and philosophy
sets up and breaks down dish machine
cleans and polishes machine thoroughly including removing any paper and hosing down interior
checks machine to be sure it is operating correctly and reports any defects immediately
washes and stores in proper places all dishes, trays, utensils, cups, and small equipment for the restaurant
checks water temperature during dishwashing operation to ensure proper temperature
removes trash from dishroom and places in dumpster
cleans and sanitizes garbage cans and keeps clean liners in cans at all times
cleans and keeps neat dishroom area including detergent storage area
acts as back-up prep cook when needed
provides support to other kitchen staff as directed and required
maintains personal appearance and cleanliness according to company and health department hygiene standards
maintains highest standards of hygiene and sanitation
follows health department standards for hygiene and safe food handling
maintains current Food Handlers Permit
