Job Requirements
- Be punctual and meet personal schedule requirements
- Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- Stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift
- Operate safely in limited physical space with variable ventilation, smoke and extreme temperatures
- Handle extremes in water and air temperature safely
- Transport items safely on slick and uneven surfaces
- Safely carry containers weighing up to 50 pounds
- Move safely throughout all areas of the restaurant, including stairs where applicable
Job Qualifications
- Must be willing and able to meet personal schedule requirements punctually
- Able to work a variable, flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift
- Perform duties in limited physical space with variable ventilation, smoke and extreme temperatures
- Safely handle extremes in water and air temperature
- Safely transport containers that weigh up to 50 pounds
- Able to safely transport dishes, bus tubs and/or trays including stairs where applicable
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently without assistance when necessary
Job Duties
- Wash, sanitize and dry items placed in the dish area or as requested by management or staff
- Safely wash and sanitize all kitchen utensils and machinery
- Ensure the cleanliness of all items washed in the dish room
- Follow proper dish washing sequence according to standing operating procedure
- Maintain a pace to prevent backup or dirty dishes, glassware, etc.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure safety
- Return all items to appropriate area after washing and sanitizing procedures are completed
