Job Requirements

  • Maintain a pace sufficient to prevent back up of dirty dishes, glasses, etc
  • Return and restock all items to appropriate area after washing and sanitizing
  • Ability to read a thermometer
  • Maintain dishwashing machinery and communicate any issues to Management
  • Identify cleaning supplies and notify Management when running low
  • Assist with general cleanliness of the back of house and restrooms
  • Empty garbage and keep garbage areas clean and covered
  • Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
  • Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment
  • Get along well with others and be a team player
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to maintain a steady pace to prevent dish back up
  • Ability to read a thermometer
  • Ability to safely operate dishwashing machinery
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with team members
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Willingness to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Basic understanding of restaurant cleanliness standards

Job Duties

  • Clean cooking stations and equipment to help expedite service
  • Clean and maintain FOH areas and curbside if requested by supervisor
  • Keep open communication with BOH team and FOH team
  • Maintain cleanliness of any BOH work areas including refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas
  • Participate in deep cleaning of BOH work areas including refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas
  • Assist in other BOH areas as needed including basic food preparation
  • Operate and utilize the dish machine and cleaning supplies
  • Wash, sanitize and dry all kitchen utensils, equipment and other items placed in dish area or as requested by Management and Staff
  • Available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts including weekends
  • Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment
