Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred
  • ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
  • ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds
  • ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • ability to bend, stoop, and wipe frequently
  • ability to work in a hot and damp environment
  • completion of Food handler's card within 30 days of employment
  • good communication skills
  • ability to follow health and safety guidelines

Job Duties

  • Report to work on time and be at the dishwashing station as scheduled
  • wash all dishware including pots, pans, flatware, and glasses by hand or using dishwashers
  • check dish machine operation including water temperature and report defects immediately
  • correctly store clean equipment, dishes, and utensils
  • stock serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and other areas with necessary items
  • clean trash receptacles using water or steam
  • move dishwashing supplies and equipment as needed
  • assist in cleaning and preparing foods for cooking or serving as directed
  • maintain safe, clean, and orderly work areas following health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • perform other related duties as assigned
