Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and appliances
- Current Food Handler's card
- Meet all mandatory health requirements by State regulations
- Maintain CPR and or First Aid Certification as required by State regulation
- Pass a criminal background and fingerprint check
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Strong English reading and writing skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime

- Maintain current Food Handler's card

- Strong understanding of the English language sufficient to read and write
- Relate positively and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and employees
- Have compassion and a special interest in working with the senior population
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and overtime, to meet the requirements of the position
Job Duties
- Support the mission, vision, and goals of the organization, upholding and promoting company culture and vision
- Be prompt and reliable in coming to work
- Assist in clearing and resetting counters or tables at conclusion of each course
- Assist residents in the dining area if required
- Deliver prompt and courteous service
- Run dishwashing machine
- Set up or break down dishwashing area
- Maintain infection control standards, update, and inspect sanitizer and dish machine temperature logs
- Clean dishes, kitchen, food preparation equipment, or utensils by washing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwasher or by hand
- Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas
- Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine
- Sort and stack clean dishes
- Carry clean dishes to cook's line and other proper storage areas
- Rewash soiled dishes before delivering
- Change dishwater in dish machine every two hours, or before washing glasses or tableware
- Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand
- Assist cook in serving and plating out meals, as needed
- Assist cook with food preparation, as needed
- Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry
- Sweep and mop floors
- Clean and roll or unroll mats
- Attend training courses and maintain up to date monthly, quarterly, annual training through Learning Management System
- Perform other duties as assigned related to community success and resident care
