Job Requirements
- Maintain a pace sufficient to prevent back up of dirty dishes, glasses, etc
- return and restock all items to appropriate area after washing and sanitizing
- ability to read a thermometer
- maintain dishwashing machinery and communicate potential issues
- identify cleaning supplies and notify management when running low
- assist with general cleanliness of back of house and restrooms
- empty garbage and keep garbage areas clean and covered
- comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
- follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment
- get along well with others and be a team player
- other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read a thermometer
- good communication skills to maintain teamwork
- basic knowledge of dishwashing machines and cleaning procedures
- willingness to learn and assist in various back-of-house tasks
- reliability and strong work ethic
- ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is a plus but not required
Job Duties
- Clean cooking stations and equipment to help expedite service
- clean and maintain FOH areas and curbside if requested by supervisor
- keep open communication with BOH team and FOH team
- maintain cleanliness of BOH work areas including refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas
- participate in deep cleaning of BOH work areas
- assist in other BOH areas including basic food preparation
- operate and utilize dish machine and cleaning supplies
- wash, sanitize and dry all kitchen utensils, equipment and other items
- be available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts including weekends
- safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment
