Job Requirements

Minimum age of eighteen years
American citizenship or Green Card holder
availability to work a 28-week temporary contract
ability to work long hours daily and full weeks
physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and endure standing and walking for extended periods
successfully pass a drug screening test
no alcohol consumption allowed during employment
compliance with shipboard grooming and appearance standards
commitment to teamwork and emergency safety training
willingness to perform additional guest-related duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

Must be at least eighteen years of age
must be an American citizen or Green Card holder
able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
able to pass pre-employment drug test including Marijuana and other controlled substances
willing to comply with grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
able to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
possess a positive attitude and able to work well under pressure

Job Duties

Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the galley including cutlery, glassware, dishes, and surrounding areas
receive and carry food deliveries which require lifting boxes that weigh up to 50 lbs
ensure that the commercial dishwasher is operating properly and efficiently, reporting any maintenance issues to management
create genuine rapport with guests and cater to all galley requests in an efficient manner
perform other functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation and assisting during special events including afternoon teas and snacks
participate in evening entertainment
maintain emergency and safety functions essential to the safe operation of the ship
