Job Requirements

  • Prior dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings
  • Physical ability to lift heavy pots and equipment
  • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Washing and catching dishes/silverware through dish machine
  • Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems
  • Monitor dish machine water temperature/chemical level to ensure sanitary wash cycle
  • Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware
  • Keep dish room, rest rooms, and food preparation areas clean and organized
  • Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware/plateware for dining room and kitchen
  • Monitor linen and trash containers and empty when appropriate
  • Understand and follow proper rules of hygiene and food safety measures
  • Wash metal pots and pans through 3 compartment sink by hand
  • Wash and lift glass racks with glass washer
  • Overall cleanliness of kitchen including sweeping, mopping, breaking down boxes, removal of trash, and more
  • Receiving deliveries and restocking shelves
  • Remain flexible during shift to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed
