Job Requirements
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written
- Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures including Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to Know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in dishwashing or commercial kitchen preferred
- Previous experience working with seniors preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written
- Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures
- Commitment to teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots/pans using dishwasher or by hand
- Properly operate the 3-compartment sink
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean sanitized and orderly condition
- Use proper chemicals and PPE for all cleaning tasks
- Perform opening and closing side work including sweeping and scrubbing floors, cleaning dish storage area and surrounding areas
- Report any sanitation or janitorial issues immediately to appropriate party
- Assist to prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times
- Empty and clean trash receptacles and place in designated pickup areas
- Partner effectively with others in a demanding and changing environment, support all team members as directed by leadership
- Perform other duties as assigned
