Job Requirements

Must be at least eighteen years of age
Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder
Ability to work long hours totaling up to 12 hours per day and 7 days a week
Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing duties that include bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods
Must pass a pre-employment drug test including marijuana and other controlled substances
Consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited while on board
Must adhere to grooming standards regarding tattoos and piercings
Willingness to work aboard a ship for 28 weeks
Must be able to perform emergency and safety duties
Temporary employment limited to 28 weeks
Ability to maintain composure and work well under pressure

Job Qualifications

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
Must be an American citizen or Green Card holder
Willingness and ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
Ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
Strong interpersonal skills to create rapport with guests and crew
Must pass pre-employment drug test including marijuana and controlled substances
Adherence to grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
Completion of all required emergency and safety training

Job Duties

Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the galley including cutlery, glassware, dishes, and surrounding areas
Receive and carry food deliveries which require lifting boxes that weigh up to 50 lbs
Ensure that the commercial dishwasher is operating properly and efficiently, reporting any maintenance issues to management
Create genuine rapport with guests and cater to all galley requests in an efficient manner
Perform additional functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation and assisting during special events including afternoon teas and snacks
Participate in evening entertainment activities
Maintain compliance with safety and emergency procedures on board
