Job Requirements

One year of previous dishwashing experience preferred
Ability to work on an on-call schedule with varying days and hours
Comfortable standing and performing physical tasks for extended periods
Ability to comply with safety and sanitation procedures
Willingness to perform routine cleaning and janitorial duties
Must be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Ability to follow directions and work independently as well as part of a team

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
At least 1 year of previous dishwashing experience preferred
Ability to work on an on-call schedule with flexible hours
Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards in a commercial kitchen environment
Basic physical ability to lift and carry supplies and work on feet for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately
Good communication skills and teamwork orientation

Job Duties

Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or using dishwashing equipment ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation
Washes pots, pans, and trays following assigned procedures to maintain sanitary conditions
Polishes silverware using appropriate machinery and techniques to ensure cleanliness
Ensures compliance with safety and sanitation procedures in the dishwashing and kitchen area
Maintains required temperatures and chemical levels as per established standards
Keeps dishwashing area orderly and adheres to safety standards
Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to comply with safety and sanitation regulations
Cleans worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces
Removes trash and disposes of it in designated containers while maintaining cleanliness of trash bins
Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas as needed
Assists with loading and unloading supplies and products
Performs other duties assigned to support kitchen operations
