Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three months experience in a similar role at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to follow safety and chemical handling protocols
  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively in English

Job Qualifications

  • Three months prior experience at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club
  • Culinary degree or certification or relevant on job experience recommended
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during busy periods
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Physical ability to meet the demands of the role including standing and walking for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Maintain sanitation standards in all kitchen work areas by cleaning dishes and kitchen work areas, sweeping kitchen work areas, and removing trash
  • Provide clean cooking utensils for the food and beverage operations and ensure that all utensils and equipment are clean, dry, and correctly stored in the designated areas
  • Maintain safety, proper storage of chemicals, and chemical concentration logs
  • Daily set ups of china, glassware, and silverware items for all outlets
  • Participate as a team player with other key team members
  • Attend department briefings as necessary to communicate necessary information
  • Completion of all opening/closing procedures as instructed
  • Assist with execution of departmental objectives and goals
  • Monitoring inventory levels through regular inventory checks
  • Maintain all equipment and be sure it is properly handled and maintained
  • Clean and maintain floors and walls in kitchen and dish washing area by following standard procedures
  • Ensure all equipment is clean and in good working order
  • Wash, wipe, sort, stack and store all cleaned items in an organized and safe manner
  • Report any maintenance or hazard issues to the Executive Chef
  • Always maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Adhere to all company policy and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all government, safety, health, and security standards at all times
  • Perform any other duties as assigned
