Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • At least one year of related experience in commercial kitchen preferred
  • Must be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as dictated by events
  • Ability to stand and walk for long hours
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds to the waist
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and physically demanding environment
  • Ability to follow health and safety protocols
  • Willingness to adhere to dress code and grooming standards

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Stage plates and setup breakdown area prior to events
  • Assist FOH prior to events as needed
  • Maintains sanitary and safe work environment
  • Always maintains clean dry floors and walls, including sweeping and mopping
  • Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine
  • Washes pots, pans, trays, worktables, walls, ranges, refrigerators, and meat blocks
  • Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers
  • Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans
  • Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
  • Help keep all China, glass, and silver in place, along with keeping the banquet storage areas stocked and orderly
  • Help with light prep cooking and plating up
  • Assist with proper food storage and rotation
  • Report to work when scheduled, on time, in proper and clean uniform, including name tag
  • Personal appearance and grooming must conform to TCC dress code
  • Keep track of the cleaning supply usages and inform Chef when supplies are getting low
  • Clearly communicates with kitchen supervisor and executive chef
  • Responsible for being able to communicate well with team members while maintaining a positive and professional work environment
  • Must be able to follow direction given by the Kitchen Supervisor and Executive Chef
