Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- capable of lifting heavy items and standing for long periods
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- strong work ethic and reliability
- basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and their safe use
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dishwashing or kitchen cleaning role preferred
- knowledge of sanitation and hygiene practices
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- good communication and teamwork skills
- attention to detail
- physical stamina to stand and perform repetitive tasks
- willingness to follow company policies and procedures
Job Duties
- Ensure the kitchen is clean, well maintained and organized at all times
- adhere to all sanitation guidelines
- collect and remove trash from all areas
- ensure waste bin area is kept clean and tidy
- perform general cleaning including sweeping, mopping, washing up, emptying bins and boxes ensuring correct placement
- clean and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, and other minor kitchen equipment
- check all chemical levels and inventory
- wash, wipe, sort, stack dishes and load/unload dishwasher
- clean and sanitize workstations
- report any maintenance or hazard issues to manager
- assist in light food preparation as directed by manager
- always maintain a clean and safe work environment
