Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
  • capable of lifting heavy items and standing for long periods
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • strong work ethic and reliability
  • basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and their safe use

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a dishwashing or kitchen cleaning role preferred
  • knowledge of sanitation and hygiene practices
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • good communication and teamwork skills
  • attention to detail
  • physical stamina to stand and perform repetitive tasks
  • willingness to follow company policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • Ensure the kitchen is clean, well maintained and organized at all times
  • adhere to all sanitation guidelines
  • collect and remove trash from all areas
  • ensure waste bin area is kept clean and tidy
  • perform general cleaning including sweeping, mopping, washing up, emptying bins and boxes ensuring correct placement
  • clean and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, and other minor kitchen equipment
  • check all chemical levels and inventory
  • wash, wipe, sort, stack dishes and load/unload dishwasher
  • clean and sanitize workstations
  • report any maintenance or hazard issues to manager
  • assist in light food preparation as directed by manager
  • always maintain a clean and safe work environment
