The company prides itself on cultivating a workplace culture that values and supports its employees, aiming to provide an unmatched employee experience while maintaining high operational standards in the restaurant industry.

The position available is for a Dish Person role, which is an integral part of Perkins' daily operations. This is a part-time employment opportunity suitable for candidates seeking flexible work schedules. As a Dish Person at Perkins, you will be responsible for keeping the kitchen and dining utensil areas clean, sanitized, and well-organized, ensuring the smooth flow of dishware, glassware, and silverware throughout the restaurant. Working as a Dish Person involves adhering to company policies, procedures, and performance standards to provide friendly, efficient service. You will be expected to maintain personal hygiene and wear the proper uniform, handle soiled dishes and kitchenware by soaking, scrubbing, sanitizing, and loading them into dishwashers, as well as managing food safety by monitoring food temperatures. Additionally, this role requires performing general maintenance such as floor cleaning towards the end of shifts to ensure workplace safety and cleanliness.

Perkins offers a wealth of benefits and perks to support employee growth and well-being. Educational assistance is provided in partnership with DeVry University, including a complimentary laptop for eligible employees. This educational benefit is also extended to immediate family members. Comprehensive health benefits cover medical, dental, and vision plans. Employees can participate in a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching. The company also promotes a development pathway for career progression and offers college credit opportunities for completing manager training.
