We are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team. This hourly position plays a crucial role in the smooth operation of our kitchen by ensuring that all dishware, utensils, and cookware are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the kitchen dish area, monitoring the proper function of dish machines, managing the chemicals used in cleaning processes, and ensuring that all kitchen equipment is clean and ready for use. The importance of this role cannot be overstated, as it directly impacts the speed and quality of service our guests receive. Candidates must be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment, able to stand for long periods, and handle tasks that involve bending, lifting, and reaching repeatedly throughout their shift.

Duties include scraping and sorting dirty dishes, hand-washing pots and pans, maintaining cleanliness in work areas, handling dish machine chemical levels, and properly disposing of trash. This role requires strong team collaboration as well as the ability to stay focused under time constraints. We prioritize safety and proper training, requiring completion of position validations and adherence to safety regulations when using chemicals and cleaning materials.

Job Requirements

  • Must be 16 years old to be hired
  • Ability to stand 100 percent of the time
  • Ability to bend, stoop, lift, and reach 75 percent of the time
  • Capability to lift and carry racks of up to 45 pounds, up to 80 times per shift
  • Ability to use chemicals and cleaning materials according to safety regulations
  • Flexibility to perform other related tasks designated by management

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 16 years old to be hired
  • Successful completion of hourly position validations including reading training materials

Job Duties

  • Inspect and verify dish machine is working properly and chemical levels are correct throughout the day
  • Scrape food from dirty dishes and place them in dish racks
  • Wash all utensils, glassware, and dishware, store correctly
  • Wash pots, pans, and other cooking equipment by hand while following proper ware washing techniques
  • Sort and remove trash and garbage to dumpster
  • Maintain cleanliness of area and equipment
  • Sort and stock clean glassware, utensils, and dishware
  • Change dish machine chemicals, water, and three-compartment sink as needed
  • Contribute to a positive guest experience by doing everything to exceed their expectations
