The Director directs all sales and marketing activities for the property including group, transient, and catering sales solicitations and bookings. They are responsible for managing the hotel sales department’s day-to-day operations, including direct sales, follow-up, sales administration, hiring, training, managing, and coaching staff. This role requires the coordination and implementation of sales strategies and marketing plans within approved budgets to ensure the property's financial goals are achieved successfully.

Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of progressive hotel sales experience preferred
- or a 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience
- or a 2-year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience
- valid driver’s license in the applicable state
- highly developed verbal and written communication skills

Job Duties
- Coordinate all group, transient, and catering sales solicitations and bookings to maximize overall revenue
- develop, recommend, implement and manage the division's annual budget and marketing and sales plans
- proactively conduct outside sales calls, sales tours and entertain clients
- understand contract content and negotiate terms
- develop and maintain market awareness for revenue opportunities and strategies
- monitor top account production and evaluate market trends
