KC Current is a professional women's soccer team dedicated to serving its fans, partners, community, and players through an unwavering commitment to excellence and community engagement. Based in Kansas City, the organization prides itself on having world-class talent, a state-of-the-art training facility, and one of the first stadiums specifically constructed for a women's sports team. KC Current is not just a sports team; it is a community-driven emblem of ambition and progress, deeply rooted in elevating the game and connecting with its supporters in the Kansas City region and beyond. The team embodies competitiveness, passion, and teamwork among its employees, who are stewards of the club's ongoing mission to achieve greatness together. This culture of unity and drive provides an inspiring environment where employees are encouraged to take initiative, embrace challenges, and contribute meaningfully to the team's historic journey in women's sports.

The role of Director, Retail Operations at KC Current is pivotal to maintaining and enhancing the retail experience across all physical locations associated with the team. The Director translates strategic retail objectives into disciplined and scalable in-market execution, ensuring each store or event retail setting is fully stocked, efficiently run, and delivers a consistent, high-quality fan experience. The multi-faceted nature of this role demands expertise in inventory control, staffing models, operational flow, and system management including POS and RFID-enabled inventory controls. In addition to operational leadership, the role emphasizes team development, rigorous inventory processes, training to maintain top-tier customer service, and cross-functional partnership to drive traffic and sales.

Overall, the Director, Retail Operations plays a crucial role in supporting the Kansas City Current’s vision by delivering exceptional retail experiences that amplify fan engagement and contribute to the team's success on and off the field. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking sports organization that values innovation, team spirit, and community impact. The employment type is full-time, requiring flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support event schedules and operational demands.
