Job Requirements

  • 8 years relevant operational, management, finance or strategic experience
  • 5 years leadership experience including at least 2 years direct people leadership
  • bachelor's degree or equivalent additional experience
  • proactive, self-motivated and works well under pressure
  • strong computer and analytical skills
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks
  • minimum age of 18
  • authorized to work in the U.S.

Job Duties

  • Guides, directs and partners with crew planning and crew scheduling, flight operations budget and forecast, payroll, benefits and leave administration, emergency preparedness, system oversight (Jeppesen), FAA, and ALPA teams
  • Manages through duty managers and leadership team, ensuring timely and ongoing communications with pilots
  • Achieves department goals by supporting operational objectives and administrative requirements with emphasis on on-time performance, customer service standards, sick leave administration, and safety
  • Plans, develops, and optimizes pilot schedules for efficiency, meeting objectives for on-time performance, productivity, and budget
  • Ensures adherence to FAA scheduling requirements and compliance with ALPA contracts
  • Maintains effective communication with Flight Operations management regarding schedule status, staffing, and operational updates
  • Partners with ALPA union leadership to ensure effective communication and problem resolution
  • Fosters a culture of support, trust, and accountability within the team
  • Promotes high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, and career development
  • Ensures cooperation and alignment of Flight Operations with Inflight, Airport Services, Base Operations, and System Operations Control
  • Assesses impact of staffing, scheduling constraints, budget assumptions, productivity objectives, and work rules
  • Develops people through effective performance management, feedback, and ensures adequate staffing levels
  • Embodies company values to own safety, do the right thing, be caring and kind, and deliver performance
