CVG Airport, also known as Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, is a key transportation hub serving the Greater Cincinnati region and Northern Kentucky. The role reports directly to the Vice President of Commercial Management and involves a high level of responsibility and accountability for overseeing the entire parking and ground transportation ecosystem at CVG Airport. This includes owning the Parking & Ground Transportation Profit and Loss (P&L) statement, setting and achieving revenue goals, and ensuring operational efficiency and a customer-first experience.

The Director of Parking & Ground Transportation is charged with leading a dynamic team and executing enterprise-wide strategies that enhance CVG Airport's position as a premier airport. Duties include managing multi-year revenue targets, implementing new projects from business case development through procurement, change management, and monitoring the execution of capital projects such as new entry/exit plazas, capacity expansions, and ADA/EV enhancements. The role requires strong leadership skills to provide coaching, counseling, and staff development while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.

A critical part of this role is driving continuous improvement through customer-focused service recovery strategies across digital and physical touchpoints. The director also manages performance-based contracts, procurement strategies, and compliance with audits and PCI standards. Collaborating with internal teams, the role enhances digital offerings such as pre-booking and wayfinding, and develops premium parking products, loyalty programs, and ancillary services to differentiate CVG Airport from other airports.

Strong financial acumen is essential, including advanced financial modeling, analytics using tools like Excel and Power BI, and pricing/yield management capabilities. The director must be well-versed in parking technology, airport operations, contract management, and project management principles, applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills to optimize operations and stakeholder partnerships.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Transportation, or a related field, alongside at least 10 years of relevant experience with 5 years in supervisory roles. Candidates must maintain Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) clearance, complete NIMS/emergency training, hold a valid driver's license, and be able to obtain federal security clearance. Driving on airfield ramps is a job requirement, emphasizing the need for operational awareness and compliance with airport safety standards.

Job Duties

  • Directs, delegates and reviews assigned work

  • sets and delivers annual/multi-year revenue targets
  • presents insights and actionable recommendations to senior leadership
  • leads end-to-end implementation of new projects including preparing and presenting the business case, RPF/procurement process, integration, change management, establishing governance, controls, and KPIs
  • partners with Planning & Development to design and deliver new entry/exit plazas, capacity expansions, lot construction/repairs, ADA/EV enhancements
  • prioritizes capital by ROI, lifecycle, capacity, and customer impact
  • champions a customer-first strategy with measurable KPIs
  • drives continuous improvement and service recovery across digital and physical touchpoints
  • structures and manages performance-based contracts and SLAs with operators/vendors
  • leads procurement strategy and execution for operations and technology
  • ensures auditability, PCI compliance, and controls integrity
  • leads governance of Commercial Vehicle Management System (CVMS) and PRCS
  • uses analytics to optimize permits, compliance, pricing, and demand forecasting
  • develops and manages contractual structures
  • monitors compliance
  • maintains strategic stakeholder partnerships
  • collaborates with internal stakeholders to enhance digital pre-book, wayfinding, and product differentiation
  • responsible for all contract management activities per KCAB Policy 1014
  • prepares and monitors the department budget
  • specifies and purchases equipment as necessary
  • prepares and develops documents relating to department goals, policies and future needs
