Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • at least one year of leadership experience in two or more relevant areas such as arts events, university events, festivals, workshops, public relations, or fundraising
  • strong interpersonal communication skills
  • exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • proficiency with computer software including word processing and database applications
  • ability to make decisions and manage multiple priorities
  • ability to work independently
  • ability to travel frequently on campus
  • ability to lift up to forty pounds
  • willingness to work evenings and weekends when necessary

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • master's degree preferred
  • leadership experience in arts or university events, festivals, workshops, or fundraising initiatives
  • exceptional interpersonal communication skills
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • proficiency in computer software including word processing and databases
  • strong decision-making and organizational skills
  • ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders

Job Duties

  • Plan special events for RCASH
  • organize and coordinate events including performances and receptions
  • manage budget and oversee financial aspects of events
  • negotiate contracts and fees with artists, speakers, and performers
  • handle ticket sales and fundraising efforts
  • oversee logistics such as travel and accommodation arrangements
  • collaborate with college leadership and external partners to ensure successful event execution
  • support grant writing and fundraising initiatives
  • maintain professional development and assist in other RCASH projects as needed
