Job Description

This job posting is for a director of sales position at two Hilton-branded properties operated by an independent franchisee: the Hampton Inn Tampa Airport Westshore and Spark by Hilton Brandon. These hotels are part of the Hilton portfolio, a globally recognized hospitality brand known for its quality service and upscale accommodations. The franchisee manages the operations, employment practices, and compensation decisions independently from Hilton, offering candidates a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team with the support of an internationally respected brand, while enjoying the caliber and culture of local hotel management.

The director of sales role is integral to the success of both properties. As the sales leader, the person in this position will be responsible for the strategic direction and execution of all sales-related activities that generate revenue across corporate, group, leisure, and government segments. The role requires a strategic thinker with robust sales leadership skills who can develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing plans that align with Hilton’s brand standards and market positioning. Through a combination of market analysis, competitive intelligence, pricing strategy, and strong relationship management, the director of sales will drive occupancy and revenue maximization for the two properties.

This position involves dynamic responsibilities such as collaborating closely with revenue management teams to optimize average daily rate (ADR), occupancy, and revenue per available room (RevPAR), managing and mentoring a sales team if applicable, maintaining a strong sales pipeline with proactive prospecting and client engagement, conducting sales presentations and negotiations, and attending networking events and industry functions to build and maintain high-value account relationships.

Beyond revenue generation, the director of sales will ensure that all sales strategies and operations adhere strictly to Hilton Worldwide’s brand standards and utilize Hilton’s CRM and reporting tools effectively to monitor sales performance and customer satisfaction. They will also be responsible for regular sales reporting, forecasting, and adjusting sales strategies based on key performance indicators and shifting market trends.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of hotel sales experience, preferably with multi-property or dual-role exposure, a strong understanding of the Tampa and Brandon, Florida markets, and excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Proficiency in Hilton systems is an added advantage. The role demands frequent local travel between the two properties and client sites, participation in networking and industry events, and flexibility to work outside traditional hours as needed. Benefits will be discussed during the interview process, ensuring tailored compensation that aligns with the candidate’s experience and the franchisee’s offerings.

Overall, this director of sales position represents a significant leadership opportunity in the hospitality industry for candidates looking to leverage their sales expertise within the Hilton brand, while contributing meaningfully to the growth and profitability of two well-established properties within a competitive marketplace.
