Job Requirements

  • At least two years of progressive hotel sales experience preferred
  • Or a four-year college degree and at least one year of related experience
  • Or a two-year college degree and at least two years of related experience
  • Valid driver’s license in the applicable state required
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate, sell, and influence
  • Thorough experience with professional selling skills including opening, probing, supporting, closing
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic vision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong organization and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and interact with people of diverse backgrounds
  • Advanced knowledge of sales, marketing, and hospitality principles
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure

Job Duties

  • Develop and implement innovative sales and marketing strategies to maximize room bookings and revenue
  • Lead, train, and mentor the sales team to achieve targets and foster a positive work environment
  • Prepare and manage sales budgets and forecasts to align with hotel financial goals
  • Conduct sales calls, client tours, and networking events to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Collaborate with hotel management and other departments to support operational goals and promote the hotel brand
  • Analyze market trends and competitive activity to adjust sales strategies accordingly
  • Represent the hotel at industry events and community functions to enhance brand visibility
