Job Requirements
- bachelor's degree in business administration or hospitality preferred
- minimum 5 years’ experience in hospitality sales and marketing preferred
- valid driver’s license with MVR in good standing
- ability to travel up to 50% within city limits and up to 10% overnight for industry or corporate events
- excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- ability to work in high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- excellent time management skills
- knowledge of hospitality and/or property management preferred
Job Qualifications
- bachelor's degree in business administration or hospitality preferred
- minimum 5 years’ experience in hospitality sales and marketing preferred
- strong mathematical skills to collect, measure, organize and analyze data
- major brand experience required, preferably Marriott
- proven record of meeting or exceeding sales /catering goals
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Job Duties
- develop and grow business from corporate, government, relocation, project based, and crew accounts to maximize revenue with a focus on extended stay revenue
- conduct proactive sales activities including prospecting, outside sales calls, networking, and participation in community and industry events
- maintain strong account management practices through organized CRM usage, accurate production tracking, and timely follow up
- host property tours, respond to inquiries, and prepare proposals that reflect brand standards and hotel value
- collaborate closely with the General Manager, Regional Director of Sales and Revenue Management to develop and execute strategies that optimize pricing, mix, and length of stay
- participate in the annual budgeting process and contribute to the revenue portion of the hotel budget
- support the development and execution of the Annual Marketing Plan
