We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Rooms to join our leadership team. This pivotal position is responsible for overseeing all front-of-house operations, including the front desk, housekeeping, concierge, and guest services departments. The Director of Rooms plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of service, ensuring operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of excellence within the rooms division. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a passion for hospitality who can motivate and guide departmental managers and staff to consistently deliver superior guest experiences. In this role, the Director of Rooms will develop and implement service standards to ensure a consistent and high-quality guest experience across all departments under their supervision. They are accountable for managing departmental budgets, controlling costs, and achieving revenue targets, thereby contributing directly to the hotel's overall financial performance. The successful candidate must ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards, and handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally and promptly.

Additionally, the Director of Rooms collaborates closely with other hotel departments to coordinate activities and enhance overall hotel performance. Regular inspections of rooms and public areas will be conducted to uphold cleanliness, safety, and service standards. The incumbent will analyze operational data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategic solutions, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously elevate service offerings.

  • Proven experience in hotel management, preferably in a leadership role overseeing rooms division
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to handle guest concerns with professionalism and tact
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and controlling costs
  • Knowledge of hospitality software and property management systems
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field is preferred
