Job Description
Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is a premier luxury hospitality company known for its exceptional service, elegant accommodations, and commitment to creating memorable guest experiences. With a global presence, Four Seasons stands out in the hospitality industry as a company that values its employees and fosters a supportive, inclusive culture. The organization believes that its greatest asset is its people, who are dedicated to pushing boundaries, continually improving, and treating others with respect and kindness. Employees are empowered to deliver unsurpassed luxury experiences that are infused with genuine care and heart. Four Seasons cultivates a world-class employee experience, recognizing the importance of nurturing talent and offering opportunities to grow professionally within a culture that values fairness, personal connection, and excellence.
Situated on the sunny western coast of Oahu in the picturesque Ko Olina area, Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina epitomizes Hawaiian luxury, combining classic island charm with contemporary comfort. This beachfront resort enjoys breathtaking ocean views, vibrant pools, and lagoons that invite guests to enjoy a range of recreational activities such as outrigger canoe rides, water sports, golf at the nearby Ko Olina Golf Club, and rejuvenation at the Naupaka Spa & Wellness Centre. The resort offers 370 stylish accommodations with a bright, airy ambiance that serves as a tranquil getaway for visitors seeking upscale relaxation. Dining options blend local flavors and global cuisines to create a vibrant culinary scene, making the resort an all-encompassing destination that appeals to both leisure and business travelers.
The Director of Rooms at Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina is a senior leadership role, integral to the success of the hotel’s operations. This position is part of the Hotel Leadership team, which collaboratively makes strategic and operational decisions to ensure the resort runs smoothly and exceeds guest expectations. The Director of Rooms oversees critical departments including Front Desk, Concierge, Club Concierge, Housekeeping, Guest Services, Guest Experience, and occasionally the Kids for All Seasons program. They play a pivotal role in maintaining service excellence, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency across these areas.
This role demands a leader with a passion for service excellence who embodies the spirit of aloha — warmth, hospitality, and respect. The successful candidate must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills to coach, guide, and develop managers and team members within the Rooms Division. They will partner closely with Sales and the Director of Revenue/Reservations to maximize occupancy, optimize room rates, and implement revenue-enhancing strategies such as suite upselling. Quality assurance is a key responsibility, involving the management of standards like LQA (Leading Quality Assurance) and guest feedback systems like Qualtrics, ensuring corrective action plans are effectively implemented when necessary.
Operational oversight includes labor management, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, managing outsourced services, and contract oversight. The Director of Rooms is expected to lead projects independently or with other teams, responding swiftly to evolving business needs and capitalizing on opportunities. This role requires a high degree of organizational skill, the ability to multitask in a busy environment, and the capability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure.
This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $150,000 to $160,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates must have a college degree and preferably five to seven years of experience in luxury hotel or resort operations management. In addition to technical skills, candidates should demonstrate strong ethical standards, excellent guest service aptitude, and be authorized to work in the US unless currently employed in a managerial role at another Four Seasons property. Four Seasons is committed to diversity and inclusion, encouraging veterans, minorities, women, and individuals with disabilities to apply. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to an award-winning resort’s continued success while enjoying the vibrant culture and natural beauty of Oahu.
