Job Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Intermediate knowledge of overall hotel operations
- Ability to work varied schedules including holidays and weekends
- Capacity to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
- Commitment to practicing safe work habits and following safety regulations
- Effective leadership and coaching capabilities
- Strong customer service orientation and complaint resolution skills
Job Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Intermediate knowledge of overall hotel operations
- Leadership and team management skills
- Financial acumen including budgeting and forecasting
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Understanding of safety and sustainability standards
Job Duties
- Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates to meet brand and company standards
- Oversee hotel departments to ensure optimal guest service and hospitality
- Assist the General Manager in preparing forecasts, reports, and budget management to maximize revenue and control expenses
- Monitor guest satisfaction scores and work towards improving departmental and overall guest experience
- Resolve customer complaints and anticipate operational issues by reviewing business flow and associate performance
- Oversee property accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable, bank audits, petty cash, and tax compliance
- Coordinate with corporate accounting for payroll processing
- Ensure internal audit standards are met
- Collaborate with sales staff to implement strategies for improving occupancy and revenue
- Monitor and maintain front office systems and equipment
- Serve on the hotel’s safety committee
- Create actionable plans to address guest service deficiencies
- Follow sustainability guidelines in line with EarthView program
- Practice safe work habits in compliance with OSHA and MSDS standards
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
