Job Description

Traders Village is a renowned company operating large-scale marketplace and entertainment destinations that blend shopping, dining, rides, festivals, concerts, and community events to create an unforgettable customer experience. Serving hundreds of thousands of guests annually, Traders Village stands out as a vibrant destination that fosters community connection and entertainment while providing a unique retail environment. Their venues are designed to engage a diverse audience, offering family-friendly atmospheres that incorporate the timeless appeal of marketplaces with the excitement of live events and activities. The company is deeply committed to maintaining high standards of customer service and creating memorable experiences that encourage repeat visitation and long-term customer loyalty.

The role of Director of Marketing & Events at Traders Village is pivotal in driving the strategic vision and operational execution of marketing efforts across multiple locations. This full-time position reports directly to the President of Traders Village and requires someone with significant leadership experience to orchestrate the marketing and event strategies that boost attendance, enhance vendor engagement, and ultimately increase revenue. Unlike traditional digital-centric marketing roles, this position demands a nuanced understanding of live operations and experiential marketing methods that foster real-world customer interactions. The Director will oversee the coordination of marketing activities that span paid media, organic social channels, CRM, website management, and on-site event execution.

Key responsibilities include leading the annual marketing and event planning for all venues, developing impactful campaigns to entice customer and vendor participation, and managing third-party agency relationships with a keen eye for budget control and performance measurement. The role also oversees brand governance to ensure consistent campaign presentation, ensures the alignment of local marketing initiatives with company-wide goals, and supports public relations and crisis communication efforts. Performance metrics directly tied to business outcomes such as attendance rates, vendor retention, customer engagement, and revenue growth are critical indicators for success in this role. Beyond marketing expertise, the ideal candidate possesses strong organizational leadership, communication skills, and the ability to balance strategic planning with practical execution.
