Job Description

Highgate Hotels is a premier real estate investment and hospitality management company with over 30 years of experience managing an extensive portfolio valued at over $15 billion. With a presence spanning North America, Europe, the Caribbean, and Latin America, Highgate has earned a strong reputation for innovation and excellence in the hospitality industry. The company partners with top ownership groups and major hotel brands to develop high-caliber hotel properties, including bespoke lifestyle brands, legacy hotels, and independent resorts. Highgate's cutting-edge approach leverages advanced revenue management tools and market analysis to maximize asset value and drive performance.

One of Highgate's flagship properties, The Huntington, is located in the prestigious Nob Hill neighborhood in San Francisco. The hotel is undergoing a reimagination aimed at blending historic charm with modern amenities, creating a luxurious environment for guests. Features such as fine dining, a three-level spa, elegantly designed rooms and suites, and versatile meeting and event spaces underscore The Huntington's commitment to providing an exceptional guest experience.

The Director of Marketing at The Huntington is a vital executive role responsible for designing, coordinating, directing, and evaluating all marketing initiatives in alignment with Highgate's strategic goals. This role involves crafting comprehensive and effective marketing strategies that align with the hotel's long-term vision. The Director of Marketing works closely with various departments including casino staff and hotel employees to ensure seamless communication and consistent delivery of five-star service to guests. This leadership position demands a proactive individual skilled in multitasking, prioritizing marketing functions, and collaborating across teams while maintaining a warm and approachable demeanor.

Key aspects of the role include overseeing the marketing budget, developing direct mail and telemarketing campaigns, and controlling promotional costs related to room amenities and other in-house initiatives. The Director also plays an integral part in managing department expenses to meet company objectives, as well as assessing and mentoring marketing staff to foster performance improvements. Responsibilities extend to compiling and presenting business plans and major casino marketing summaries that provide insights into market trends and strategic opportunities.

Successful candidates will be effective communicators, both orally and in writing, capable of engaging with employees and guests in a courteous, attentive, and service-oriented manner. The job requires a high level of confidentiality, problem-solving ability, and an aptitude for handling complex data and information from various sources to achieve marketing goals. Commitment to company standards, participation in meetings and training sessions, and flexibility in scheduling to meet hotel operational needs are essential aspects of the role.

This is a full-time, yearly salaried position offering a unique opportunity to lead marketing efforts within a high-profile hotel setting backed by a global hospitality management firm. Joining Highgate Hotels provides the chance to work alongside industry leaders committed to innovation, quality, and guest satisfaction within a dynamic hospitality environment.
