The Executive Housekeeper role at Tenaya Lodge is a leadership position responsible for overseeing and managing the housekeeping department to ensure the entire resort is impeccably clean, sanitized, and guest-ready. This role includes leading a team through hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management, while maintaining inventory control and budget management including expenses and payroll. The Executive Housekeeper will conduct regular inspections and take corrective actions to comply with the highest standards. The ability to operate company vehicles on the property adds to the role's operational responsibilities.

The role offers a competitive base salary range from $70,304 to $88,400 per year, along with an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • At least five years of experience managing a team
  • Working knowledge of various cleaning utensils, dryers, washers, tools, fixtures, and cleaning solvents
  • Knowledge of how to use Material Safety Data Sheets for cleaning solvents
  • No degree required
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

Job Duties

  • Lead and manage a team of housekeepers including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management and evaluation
  • Maintain an inventory of supplies, order and distribute supplies and equipment
  • Ensure that all reports, orders, and projects are completed
  • Monitor and control expenses and payroll while ensuring proper resources are in place
  • Conduct housekeeping inspections and take corrective action as needed
  • Ability to drive company vehicles throughout the property
