The Front Office Manager role at The Bohemian Hotel Savannah Riverfront is a leadership position integral to delivering exceptional guest service and operational excellence. This position involves overseeing all front desk operations to maintain smooth daily functionality while elevating the guest experience to meet luxury standards. The Front Office Manager is responsible for ensuring that each guest arrival and departure reflects the highest levels of service and that guest concerns are addressed promptly and professionally. Through strong collaboration with departments such as Housekeeping, Engineering, Sales, and Food & Beverage, the manager ensures seamless hotel operations that meet and exceed brand standards and Forbes/AAA-level expectations.

This role requires a visible, hands-on leader who can inspire and cultivate an inclusive, positive culture within the front office team. The manager recruits, trains, coaches, and develops staff to support high engagement and accountability. Regular performance evaluations and team meetings ensure continuous team growth and operational improvement.

Driving revenue enhancement is also a key part of this role. The Front Office Manager partners with revenue management to implement upselling strategies and optimize room inventory. By identifying opportunities for ancillary revenue growth through guest engagement, the manager plays a vital role in achieving financial goals.

Candidates for this position should bring over three years of progressive hotel front office leadership experience, preferably in luxury or lifestyle properties. The ideal leader will have a strong understanding of hotel operations, revenue strategies, and labor management, combined with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Experience with major property management systems, especially Opera, is preferred. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential in this role.

Job Duties

  • Lead the front desk team to deliver a luxury-level arrival and departure experience
  • resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally ensuring service recovery and guest satisfaction
  • maintain strong knowledge of the local market to enhance the concierge-style guest experience
  • ensure adherence to brand standards and Forbes/AAA-level service expectations
  • oversee daily front office operations including scheduling payroll and labor management
  • monitor key performance metrics such as RevPAR ADR guest satisfaction scores and upsell performance
  • ensure accurate billing cash handling and compliance with internal controls
  • collaborate with Housekeeping Engineering Sales and F&B to ensure seamless operations
  • recruit train coach and develop front office team members
  • foster an inclusive positive and accountability-driven culture
  • conduct regular one-on-ones performance evaluations and team meetings
  • lead by example through visible hands-on engagement on the floor
  • drive upsell programs and room inventory strategies in partnership with Revenue Management
  • identify opportunities to increase ancillary revenue through guest engagement
